Why most founder emails flop

The email is one giant picture.

The most common mistake I see in early-stage brands: the whole email is designed as one image and pasted in. It looks fine on a laptop. On a phone the text is tiny, nothing is clickable except one spot, the words never load for anyone with images turned off, and inbox filters treat image-only emails with suspicion.

Canva's email builder fixes this, but only if you build with its text boxes, buttons and layout blocks. Canva's own help page says grouped graphics and text baked into an image export as one flat picture. So the rule for this whole guide is simple.

Every word a customer needs to read stays live text. Images support the story. They never carry it.

Want the next system?

I'm a serial entrepreneur and early-stage investor, and each week I break down the AI systems and operating frameworks that I actually run my companies with.
